Right Whale Days at the New Bedford Whaling Museum

NECWA staff members Val and Mary had a great time at the New Bedford Whaling Museum this Monday as they were part of Right Whale Days. This annual event is a celebration of North Atlantic right whales, the most endangered of all the baleen whales in our waters.

Mary and Val had a few arts and craft activities for the kids, including make your own origami whale and name your right whale fluke. The kids who stopped by the NECWA table were encouraged to decorate their artwork using colorful gel pens, stickers and markers.

These kids were having lots of fun as they were learning about whales. Can't get any better than that!
