NECWA at the Boston Sea Rovers Ocean Symposium

Image
NECWA had a great time yesterday, Sunday, at the Boston Sea Rovers Ocean Symposium. Krill and Billie-Jo attended on behalf of NECWA. On Sunday afternoon, Krill provided a PowerPoint presentation on NECWA's ocean sunfish rescue and research activities.  The crowd was fabulous and was very interested in the work that NECWA is doing. Krill appreciated and enjoyed the communication with the audience, especially when they laughed at all her corny jokes!  NECWA hopes to attend again in the future. Check out their website for this is a great non-profit organization. To go to the Boston Sea Rovers website, click HERE !

Here is a vegan recipe for today's feast. By eating less meat and dairy or by going vegan, you can reduce your carbon footprint and reduce the needless suffering of animals in factory farms.  https://www.forksoverknives.com/recipes/vegan-salads-sides/roasted-red-potatoes-and-cabbage/

Fun GIF Created by NECWA Intern Siani

This fun GIF of an Ocean Sunfish was created by Siani, one of our 2025 winter interns. Siani had not had a lot of experience with GIFS so she took on this project and created something really great. Internships provide the platform for high school and college students to experiment with graphic design and animation techniques, gaining experience needed for their profession.
